1 Corinthians 6:19-20

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body."

The above passage teaches a most crucial Scriptural Truth every Christian must understand and accept. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior, we enter into a transaction with God, in which we accept His ownership of our lives. As the passage above states, God bought and paid for us with the life of His Son. We therefore do not own ourselves anymore, but are in fact owned completely by God! We also have no innate right nor freedom to do as we wish, but are obligated and compelled to do only as our Master and Benefactor desires for us! Instead of restrictive, this arrangement actually sets us free, for the Believer is now free to do the "good, acceptable and perfect" Will of God!
