Colossians 3:1

1 "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God."

Matthew 6:33

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

These instructions are written in the form of commands from God! They are addressed to our Wills, not our Feelings! Don't wait to feel like setting your heart on things above or feel like seeking God's Kingdom and Righteousness. Those feelings may never come! We set our hearts on things above by Faith and Obedience. We seek God's Kingdom and His Righteousness by Faith and Obedience! However, after training your heart to do these things by Faith and Obedience, don't be surprised if you begin to really and deeply Feel like doing these things. It's okay for Feelings to follow your acts of Faith and Obedience ...just don't be led by them!
